No. 01 · Why this matters

Burnout is costing Canadian employers millions.

About 39% of Canadian employees say they’re burnt out. For a 500-person organization, that can mean more than $3.4 million a year in lost productivity and salary. Organizations that work on prevention save about half of that.

Our sessions are for the staff who spend their days looking after other people and rarely get support for it themselves.

The Invisible Work of Caring

Our signature 90-minute session on the emotional load of looking after others, at work and at home. Your team talks openly about what the work takes out of them and leaves with tools they can use the next day.

We also build programs for the people your organization serves. Access Alliance brought us in to run one for their clients.

No. 03 · Sessions

What a session looks like.

Groups are small and there’s always food. Most people arrive not knowing anyone. By the end, many have talked about things they usually keep to themselves.

No. 04 · How we work

Culture is part of it.

Many of the people who come to Clear Space grew up in families where burnout and mental health weren’t talked about. Some gatherings open with a coffee ceremony led by someone from the community. Others bring in food or music from the people in the group.

Questions organizations ask.

Something we didn’t cover? Email hello@clearspacewellness.com.

Is this therapy?

No. Sessions are education and group support. They are not therapy, and Clear Space is not a crisis service. Nobody has to share anything personal. If someone needs more support, Mihret can point them to the right services.

What if someone gets upset during a session?

It happens, and it’s okay. Mihret has 15 years of counselling experience and knows how to slow a conversation down when a topic hits hard. People can step out or stay quiet at any time.

Who are the sessions for?

Staff who look after other people, such as early years educators and community health workers. We also run programs for the clients and community members your organization serves.

In person or virtual?

Either. We come to you anywhere in the Toronto area, or run sessions online.

How long is a session?

Our signature session is 90 minutes. Talks and panels fit your event’s schedule. A series can run over a few weeks or across the year.

How much does it cost?

It depends on group size and format. Tell us about your team and we’ll send a proposal with pricing within two business days.

Can you invoice our organization?

Yes. Once we agree on the details, we send an invoice.
